2020年6月21日、人気女性アイドルグループのAKB48が「【MV full】『離れていても』 / AKB48 message song【公式】」というMVを投稿した。新型コロナウイルスの感染拡大を防止しながら、今を生きる人々へのメッセージソングとして話題になっている。

新曲『離れていても』は、動画の概要欄によると、「新しい生活様式」の中で力強く生きる人たちへエールを贈るMVとなっている。歌詞の中には「近づきすぎないで距離を保っておこう」などソーシャルディスタンスを意識させるフレーズがいくつか含まれており、引き続き新型コロナウイルスの感染拡大防止対策に取り組むよう呼びかけている。
