2020年9月16日、グループYouTuberのボンボンTVが「【注意喚起】私たちのニセモノがいます」という動画を投稿した。TwitterやInstagramなどSNSで多発するボンボンTVメンバーを騙ったなりすましを念頭に、DMなどのやり取りをしないようファンに注意を呼びかけた。

動画では、ボンボンTVメンバーを騙った偽アカウントが多発しており、「なりすまし」に騙されてDMなどのやり取りをしないよう注意喚起を行った。悪質なものに関しては厳しい対応を行うとも警告。「ファンのみんながもし、被害を受けたりしたら悲しいです」ともコメントし、動画の意図を説明した。
